Metallica - Ride The Lightning

This 180gm vinyl LP pressing features a digitally remastered edition of Metallica's second studio album 'Ride The Lightning' originally released in 1984. Recorded over a three-week period at Sweet Silence Studios in Copenhagen, Denmark, with producer Flemming Rasmussen. Rooted in thrash metal, the album displays the band's growth in songwriting thanks to bassist Cliff Burton teaching the others music theory. Opting to not only use fast tempos as seen on 'Kill 'Em All', Metallica employed acoustic guitars, instrumentals, and harmonic complexity. The title comes from a passage in Stephen King's novel 'The Stand'.
