Alain Goraguer is a French jazz pianist & sideman of Boris Vian and Serge Gainsbourg, who recorded and composed the soundtrack to the film Fantastic Planet. Fantastic Planet (French: La Planète sauvage, lit. The Savage Planet) is an animated 1973 science fiction film directed by René Laloux. Beautiful downtempo & funky grooves make this a much sought-after (and heavliy sampled) soundtrack. The track "Le Bracelet" was sampled by hiphop-producer V.I.C. for Big Pun's track "Boomerang"; and the album was also sampled by Quasimoto on his album "The Unseen".
