Description
"... a 1971 album by jazz flautist Herbie Mann (1930 --- 2003), which features Duane Allman. The record explored a range of popular genres, such as R&B, rock and funk music to create what Allmusic calls a "generally appealing, melodic and danceable" album with an "impressive crew of musicians." Mann was among the first jazz musicians to specialize on the flute and was a prominent jazz flautist during the 1960s. By the early 1970s, Mann had a number of songs cross over to the pop charts, which was rather rare for a jazz musician. A 1998 interview reported that "At least 25 Herbie Mann albums have made the top 200 pop charts, success denied most of his jazz peers."
